The objectives and directions of the Institute aim to closely link scientific research with the practical application of research results, cultural and artistic performance practice, and consultancy for individuals and organizations on economic, cultural, and artistic development, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people, meeting the development needs of the country in the context of international integration.

The motto of the Institute of Art, Culture, and Economics is "Uphold the Law - Connect Potential - Increase Value - Sustainable Development."

The Institute has independent legal status, its own seal, bank accounts, and its main headquarters in Hanoi, with the potential to open representative offices and branches in any province or city nationwide as needed, in accordance with the law.

Fields of Activity

The main fields of activity of the Institute include:

  • Business production relations;
  • Performing arts (music, drama, dance, singing, circus);
  • Other art research issues (Landscape Art, Handicrafts; Glass Art Sculpture; Culinary Arts; Journalism and Broadcasting Arts, Film Arts; Calligraphy);
  • Cultural theory;
  • General cultural research;
  • Production, business, and services related to economics, culture, and arts as stipulated by law.

Functions:

  • General research on business production relations and general economic issues; Business and business management; Performing arts (music, drama, dance, singing, circus); Other art research issues; Cultural theory; General cultural research. Research and refer to international experiences in economic, cultural, and artistic development; Research, consult, and experiment with contemporary cultural and artistic industry models.
  • Transfer research results on economics, culture, arts, and experimental models to interested organizations and individuals; Consult, participate in, and link training, organize scientific seminars, disseminate scientific and technological information, and cooperate domestically and internationally in economics, culture, and arts.

Tasks:

  • Participate in training and linked training in economics, culture, and arts as permitted by law; cooperate internationally to build and implement research and training programs.
  • Organize seminars, conferences, exchanges, and cooperation with experts in economics, culture, and arts.
  • Consult and guide career orientation, and develop programs and projects in economics, culture, and arts domestically and internationally.
  • Collect, process, forecast, store, and disseminate information on economics, culture, and arts, and the achievements in these fields in Vietnam and around the world; publish works based on research results and activities related to the Institute's functions and tasks, in accordance with the law.
  • Conduct training and provide information services in economics, culture, and arts as needed by organizations and individuals.
  • Coordinate cultural and artistic performances.
  • Provide other services in economics, culture, and arts as permitted by law.

Powers:

  • Organize its own apparatus, use human resources appropriate to its functions and tasks.
  • Independently build activity plans.
  • Independently sign research contracts, and provide scientific and technological services.
  • Financial autonomy.
  • Independently determine the prices of research products and scientific and technological services through contract agreements.
  • Actively sign contracts and cooperation agreements with domestic and foreign organizations and individuals in compliance with the law.
  • Other rights as prescribed by law.
